5 Western European countries are continued to get Free Vietnam Visa until until 30 June 2021.
On 03 May, 2018, The prime minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc is decided to extend the visa waivers program for visitors from the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy and Spain for 3 more years.
Thus, visitors from 5 Western European countries (including: United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain and Germany) are exempted from Vietnam visa for more 3 year, until 30 June, 2021, if the stay is less than 15 days, applicable to all kinds of passport and travel purposes.
The visa exemption policy for citizens of five Western European countries is being piloted from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016, then extended 2 times for 2 further years, until June 30, 2018. This is the third time this policy has been renewed, and this is the first time this policy has been applied for the longest, lasting up to 3 years.
Condition to get free Vietnam Visa for citizens of United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain and Germany:
Passport must be valid for more than 6 months from the entry date Vietnam.
The entry date must be at least 30 days from the previous exit. Otherwise that person is required to have appropriate visa to enter Vietnam.
Foreigners holding British National Oversea (BNO) passports are not exempted from visa requirement, thus must have appropriate visas to visit Vietnam.
